Savills Appoints Abigail Jones as Director to Lead Cambridge Development Team
Savills has announced the appointment of Abigail Jones as director to lead its development team in Cambridge. Abigail, who joined Savills in 2013, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. She was recognized as the RICS Young Surveyor of the Year (Land & Urban) in 2021, reflecting her strong reputation within the real estate sector.
In her new role, Abigail will oversee the development team’s activities, continuing to provide expert advice on the sale and marketing of residential development land while identifying new opportunities for growth across Cambridge and the wider East of England region. Her client base includes private landowners, promoters, and corporate institutions, with specialist knowledge in areas such as the Community Infrastructure Levy, strategic land, and the education sector.
Having recently returned from maternity leave, Abigail expressed appreciation for the support she received during her absence and emphasized the significant growth potential in the region. “There is a clear focus from the central Government on the development of Cambridge and the East of England, which presents exciting opportunities for housing delivery and infrastructure investment,” she said.
Savills research indicates that development land values in the East of England have remained stable throughout 2025, with Cambridge experiencing notable activity. Under Abigail’s leadership, the team has successfully completed several land sales and is preparing to launch additional consented and strategic projects in the coming months.
