Construction giant expands its regional footprint with a new office in one of Northern Virginia’s most vibrant mixed-use hubs

ARLINGTON, VA, the design-forward real estate investment and management firm behind some of the country’s most iconic properties, announced today that Gilbane Building Company has signed a 27,000-square-foot office lease at Ballston Exchange, a dynamic mixed-use development in the heart of Arlington’s Ballston neighborhood.

One of the world’s largest privately held construction companies, Gilbane will join a growing roster of industry-leading tenants, including Booz Allen Hamilton, The Agricultural Retailers Association, and The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, further cementing Ballston Exchange as a hub for innovation and leadership.

Gilbane’s new office, scheduled for occupancy in 2026, will consolidate its operations onto a single floor, enhancing collaboration and efficiency across its teams.
