Colliers Launches Refreshed Sustainability Strategy in 2024 Global Report
TORONTO, June 12, 2025 – Colliers has released its 2024 Global Sustainability Report, unveiling Built to Last, a renewed and forward-looking strategy designed to address today’s most pressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. Grounded in an updated materiality assessment conducted earlier this year, the strategy centers on three key pillars: environmental sustainability, workplace experience, and ethical governance and practices.
The report outlines significant progress toward Colliers’ 2021 sustainability targets. Notable achievements include a 27.6% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions per square foot, WELL Health-Safety Ratings achieved in 87.4% of offices (up from 35% in 2022), and a fivefold increase in the company’s electric vehicle fleet, now exceeding 170 vehicles. These metrics reflect Colliers’ commitment to measurable, long-term impact.
Employee engagement and community involvement remain central to the firm’s ESG efforts. In 2024, Colliers reached an 88% participation rate in its global employee engagement survey, with results exceeding industry benchmarks. The company also achieved 68% of its Colliers Gives volunteering goal, reinforcing its culture of corporate responsibility and social impact.
“As a global leader in real estate and investment management, we have a responsibility to lead by example,” said Jay Hennick, Global Chairman & CEO of Colliers. “Our 2024 performance reflects both progress and adaptability, and Built to Last provides a strong foundation for continued leadership in sustainability.”
To drive the next phase of this strategy, Colliers has appointed Tonya Lagrasta as Global Head of Sustainability. With over 20 years of experience across industries including real estate, finance, retail, and the public sector, Lagrasta will lead the global integration of sustainability practices across Colliers’ operations and services.
“Sustainability is a reflection of our values and a strategic lever for resilience,” said Lagrasta. “Built to Last represents both our current position and our ambitions for the future. I look forward to leading this important work and accelerating our impact globally.”
