Cityscape Egypt 2025 Kicks Off with High-Level Steering Committee to Shape Egypt’s Urban Future
Cairo, Egypt – May 14, 2025 – Cityscape Egypt 2025 has officially launched its journey toward redefining the country’s urban development landscape, starting with the formation of a strategic steering committee that convened its inaugural meeting on May 6 in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. This milestone marks the formal preparation phase for the highly anticipated Egypt Real Estate Summit 2025, set to take place in September.
The steering committee, composed of senior government officials, regulatory bodies, and real estate leaders, aims to create a unified roadmap that aligns Egypt’s national development goals with market opportunities. Its mission is to drive cross-sector collaboration across real estate, infrastructure, tourism, investment, and sustainability key pillars of Egypt Vision 2030.
A National Strategy for Urban Transformation
Egypt is currently undertaking some of the most ambitious real estate and infrastructure projects in the MENA region from the New Administrative Capital to smart city initiatives and green, climate-resilient developments. The steering committee will serve as the central policy-making and advisory body for the Egypt Real Estate Summit, ensuring discussions result in actionable, investment-ready outcomes.
Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of Administrative Capital for Urban Development, emphasized the significance of the summit in aligning policy with Egypt’s urban boom.
“This platform brings together public and private sector leaders to build strategic alignment between national priorities and market demands. It also reaffirms the New Capital’s role as a hub for smart, sustainable growth and a magnet for global investment.”
Key Committee Members Include:
- Eng. Khaled Abbas – Chairman, Administrative Capital for Urban Development
- Hossam Heiba – President, General Authority for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI)
- Eng. Fathallah Fawzy – Chairman, MENA for Real Estate Consultancy
- Shaimaa Shousha – General Manager, Strategic Department, Industrial Development Authority
- Dr. Mohamed Raghad – Environment Department, Tourism Development Authority
Their initial meeting focused on improving inter-agency coordination, unlocking high-potential real estate projects, and attracting local and international capital across all asset classes from residential and industrial to hospitality and commercial sectors.
A Platform for Investment and Policy Innovation
Robier Daniel, Director of Cityscape Egypt, framed the initiative as a bold step toward policy innovation and investor engagement:
“Cityscape Egypt is more than an exhibition. It is a convening power for dialogue, strategic investment, and sustainable transformation. With this steering committee, we are empowering Egypt’s urban vision with the structure and momentum it needs to deliver real-world impact.”
Hossam Heiba, GAFI President, added that the Egypt Real Estate Summit offers a “practical bridge” between national strategy and implementation.
“The summit and committee structure accelerate coordination between public institutions and private investors, allowing Egypt to emerge as a regional hub for smart and sustainable investments.”
Looking Ahead: Egypt Real Estate Summit 2025
The Egypt Real Estate Summit 2025, under the guidance of the newly established steering committee, is positioned to be a transformational platform not just to showcase investment opportunities, but to forge long-term partnerships, propose regulatory improvements, and elevate Egypt’s global profile as a leader in urban development.
As Egypt moves forward with its landmark urban transformation projects, the collaborative framework initiated by Cityscape Egypt 2025 will be instrumental in translating vision into execution, ensuring both economic growth and livable cities for generations to come.
