Back to the Future: Dre Taylor’s Tour Helps African Descendants Reclaim Land, Legacy, and Citizenship in Ghana
In a time when the global African diaspora seeks deeper roots and economic empowerment, visionary entrepreneur and real estate developer Dre Taylor is leading a movement to connect people of African descent back to the continent not just spiritually, but physically, legally, and economically.
Through his company, Beyond Investments, Taylor is reshaping what it means to “go back to Africa.” His mission is bold, urgent, and deeply personal: empower Black families in the U.S. to reclaim ownership, secure dual citizenship, and build wealth in Ghana.
Now, that mission is going mobile.
The One Mission Tour: Turning Ancestral Curiosity into Action
Kicking off on April 18 in New York City, the One Mission Tour is a 14-city journey across the U.S., designed to demystify the process of purchasing land, investing in eco-friendly real estate, and relocating or gaining dual citizenship in Ghana.
Stops include major cities like Washington D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Houston, targeting professionals, retirees, and families who may have long felt a spiritual connection to Africa but lacked trusted pathways to act on it.
“This isn’t just about land,” Taylor emphasizes. “It’s about legacy. It’s about creating a real bridge between our past and our future between America and Africa.”
Why Ghana? Why Now?
Since Ghana’s 2019 “Year of Return,” interest in the West African nation has surged. But for many in the diaspora, barriers like legal red tape, unfamiliar real estate processes, and concerns about legitimacy have kept dreams at bay.
That’s where Beyond Investments comes in.
Tour attendees will receive:
- Step-by-step legal guidance on how to safely purchase land in Ghana
- Access to income-generating opportunities in sustainable eco-communities
- Support for relocation, residency, and dual citizenship applications
- Strategies to build multigenerational wealth abroad
“This is a chance to invest not only in property, but in purpose,” says Taylor.
The Man Behind the Mission
A Kansas City native, Dre Taylor has always been a builder of systems, communities, and futures. Before founding Beyond Investments, he created Nile Valley Aquaponics, an urban farm that fed communities and empowered youth with over 100,000 pounds of fresh food.
His leadership earned him city appointments and mentorship from global changemakers like Will Allen, a TIME 100 honoree.
After a life-changing trip to Ghana in 2019, Taylor didn’t just visit he planted roots. He became a Ghanaian citizen and launched Beyond Investments to help others do the same, safely and meaningfully.
Beyond View: A Glimpse of the Future
The crown jewel of Taylor’s efforts is Beyond View, a 105-unit luxury off-grid eco-community in Ghana’s lush Aburi Mountains. Featuring solar-powered homes, rainwater systems, rooftop pools, and even a roller-skating rink, the development is as innovative as it is intentional.
“It’s more than a real estate project,” says Taylor. “It’s a blueprint for sustainable Black empowerment.”
Reclaiming Power, Redefining Home
For many African descendants, owning land in Ghana isn’t just a transaction, it’s a reclamation. It’s about anchoring identity, creating security, and finally owning a piece of the future in a place where the past still whispers in the soil.
With the One Mission Tour, Dre Taylor isn’t selling dreams, he’s delivering tools.
“We’re making Africa accessible for good,” he says. “This is our time to return not as refugees, but as visionaries.”
