UKREiiF 2025 Smashes Sustainability Goals Again Four Years Running with ISO 20121 Accreditation

The UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) has successfully retained its ISO 20121 Sustainable Events Management Accreditation for the fourth consecutive year, underscoring its strong commitment to sustainability. This internationally recognised standard validates UKREiiF’s ongoing efforts to integrate environmentally responsible and socially conscious practices throughout the event.

Key sustainability initiatives contributing to this achievement include a significant reduction in printed materials cutting 688,000 A5 pages through the adoption of a mobile app and enhanced website alongside the introduction of a detailed carbon footprint report. UKREiiF also increased cash donations to community interest companies and charities by 600%, installed water refill stations to reduce plastic waste, and expanded its ‘Sustainable Champions’ programme to engage partners and attendees in green initiatives.

Nicki Worral, UKREiiF’s ISO Lead, highlights that sustainability is embedded at every level of the forum’s operation, from emissions tracking and waste reduction to promoting inclusivity and community empowerment. UKREiiF’s sustained accreditation sets a benchmark for responsible event management within the real estate and infrastructure industries, demonstrating that large-scale events can successfully balance business impact with environmental and social responsibility. Looking forward, UKREiiF intends to continue building on this foundation to drive further innovation in sustainable event practices.
