Burges Salmon Strengthens Edinburgh Real Estate Energy Team with Key Appointments
Burges Salmon has significantly expanded its real estate energy team in Edinburgh by appointing partner Dixcee Fast and director Janice Napier, both bringing extensive expertise in renewable energy law. Ms Fast, previously with Anderson Strathern, is well-versed in advising on a wide range of clean energy projects such as wind, solar, wave, tidal, and cable developments, with strong experience in land acquisition and regulatory matters. Janice Napier, also joining from Anderson Strathern, is a highly experienced commercial property lawyer qualified in both Scotland and England & Wales. She specializes in supporting renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage, across the UK.
Together with solicitor Caitlin Preston, these appointments strengthen Burges Salmon’s capability to provide comprehensive legal support to developers, landowners, and investors navigating Scotland’s fast-growing renewables sector. Partner Danny Lee emphasized that their expertise complements the firm’s energy and utilities group and will be vital in guiding clients through the complexities of the energy transition and the pursuit of net zero.
These strategic hires highlight Burges Salmon’s ongoing commitment to supporting Scotland’s dynamic renewable energy market, positioning the firm as a leading legal advisor in one of the UK’s most pioneering and rapidly evolving sectors.
