Inside India’s $400M Luxury Frenzy: Trump Residences Gurugram Sells Out in Hours

Gurugram, India – In what may go down as one of the most explosive days in Indian real estate history, all 298 units of the newly launched Trump Residences Gurugram were snapped up within hours raking in an eye-popping Rs 3,250 crore (over $390 million) in bookings on launch day.

With apartment prices ranging from Rs 8 crore to Rs 15 crore, including Rs 125 crore worth of penthouses, the Trump-branded ultra-luxury development in Sector 69, Gurugram, has made an emphatic statement: India’s appetite for branded, experiential real estate is booming.

Launched by Smartworld Developers and Tribeca, in partnership with The Trump Organization, the project comprises two 51-storey glass towers that offer sky-high living, curated services, and never-before-seen amenities including India’s first aquarium bar.

“The overwhelming response reflects India’s growing aspiration for world-class living,” said Smartworld founder Pankaj Bansal, calling it a defining moment for luxury real estate in India.

What’s Driving the Frenzy?

Location: Strategically nestled in Sector 69, near the Golf Course Extension Road one of NCR’s fastest-growing upscale corridors.

Design & Architecture: Iconic all-glass facades, floor-to-ceiling windows, and double-height living rooms exude Manhattan-esque elegance.

Luxury Features:

  • Private elevators for select units
  • Rooftop views of the Aravallis
  • Luxury clubhouses and curated concierge services
  • Smart tech integration and international-standard interiors

The Trump Factor:

This marks the sixth Trump-branded residential project in India, making India the largest market for Trump real estate outside the U.S. The project also benefits from renewed brand visibility with Donald Trump’s political comeback in the U.S., adding global buzz to local prestige.

A Lifestyle, Not Just a Home

Experts say buyers aren’t just chasing square footage, they’re investing in aspirational living. “Luxury buyers today want more than marble and views. They want a brand, a story, an identity,” said a Delhi-based luxury property consultant. “Trump Residences deliver just that: global cachet with Indian ambition.”

Tribeca, which has been the brand custodian of Trump projects in India, will oversee design, sales, and quality, while Smartworld handles construction and experience delivery.

The Bigger Picture

India’s luxury housing market has entered a new era, buoyed by rising HNIs, global exposure, and a post-pandemic shift toward quality living. With over Rs 2,200 crore invested in the project, this development could become a benchmark for future branded real estate in India.

And if the record-setting sellout of Trump Residences Gurugram is any indication, the ultra-luxury wave is only just beginning.
